Erie Wrongful Death Accident Lawyer Teen Killed In Peach Street Crash

July 31, 2011

August 1, 2011, ERIE, PA — We are saddened to report that an Erie car accident on Peach Street has taken the life of a well-liked teen.* Authorities say that an Eagle Talon northbound on Peach Street struck the rear of a Jeep near the intersection with New Road close to midnight last night. The Jeep was also northbound on Peach Street but stopped waiting to make a left turn. The young woman who was killed had been a passenger in the Eagle Talon.

The Jeep’s driver had intended to make a left turn onto New Road and was stopped waiting for southbound traffic to clear. The Eagle Talon failed to stop and smashed into the rear of the Jeep in the fatal Erie car wreck. From initial reports, the force of the impact was significant. All occupants of both vehicles were injured, some were taken to UPMC Hamot and at least one remains in serious condition.

The young woman, a 17 year-old Strong Vincent High School student, soccer player and volunteer at Family Day Care West, suffered fatal chest injuries. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether she was seat-belted at the time of the Erie car crash.

Our sincerest condolences go the family of the young woman and our hopes are with those who were seriously injured in the Erie car crash.
