Ms. Utegg was reportedly on a Honda motorcycle that crashed into a utility pole on Vine Street near 3:15 a.m. A man was with her on the motorcycle but it was not specified which of them was operating the motorcycle at the time of the collision. Richard Badalamenti, 22, of Ohio, was taken to Hamot Hospital after the accident but was not there when reporters from the Times called to inquire about his status.
Ms. Utegg was the 13th person killed in an Erie County motorcycle crash this year.
Ms. Utegg was a graduate of North East High School’s class of 2009 and worked at the Fiddle Inn. Memorials may be made to the North East Softball Scholarship Fund, c/o North East High School, 1901 Freeport Road, North East, PA 16428.
