Erie Lawyers Meet Pro Bono Challenge

January 15, 2011, ERIE, PA — Chief Justice Ronald D. Castille has recognized what many lawyers in Pennsylvania have said for years. There is a crisis in our civil justice legal system as the poor, who cannot afford legal representation, are abused by unscrupulous corporations and others who prey upon the helpless.

The Chief Justice called upon the state’s 70,000 lawyers to take on at least one pro bono matter or to volunteer through a legal aid volunteer provider.

At Purchase, George & Murphey, P.C., we are proud to say that we have long been committed to pro bono service. Our lawyers have been committed to the Erie County Legal Aid Volunteer Attorney program since 1991 and have, on average, accepted 2 pro bono cases a year since. We will continue to do our part to help right the wrongs that are sometimes perpetrated against those who lack the resources to defend themselves.

If you’re looking for an Erie lawyer with a proven record of success representing injured people and a longstanding record of commitment to bettering our local community, call today for a free consultation with one of our Erie injury lawyers. Mr. George and his entire office staff were very kind and helping me through my first ever experience with the law. He was able to get me exactly what he said he would in the outcome of my trial. The entire staff was very informative and kept me up to date on everything. Very pleased with my experience and would most definately recommend him to others.
