Erie Injury Lawyers Jury Awards 11 Million For Car Accident Injuries

November 10, 2010 — A jury verdict Tuesday found that $1.1 million in damages were necessary to compensate a woman for injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident.

Cheryl Mary Shannon, a former Army major and ROTC instructor at the University of Scranton, was injured on March 6, 2003 when struck by a van driven by Marcial A. Gonzalez. Ms. Shannon suffered injuries to her head and knees in the crash which limited her ability to work and to function as an army officer.

The jury awarded Ms. Shannon $300,000 for past and future pain and suffering; $282,000 for past and future impairment of earning capacity; and $524,000 in lost pension benefits.

Congratulations to Pennsylvania injury lawyer Atty. Thomas Foley on the outstanding result.

Mr. George and his entire office staff were very kind and helping me through my first ever experience with the law. He was able to get me exactly what he said he would in the outcome of my trial. The entire staff was very informative and kept me up to date on everything. Very pleased with my experience and would most definately recommend him to others.
