Erie County Car Accident Lawyers Saegertown Accident Closes Routes 619

September 2, 2010

September 3, 2010, Saegertown, PA — A one car accident closed portions of Routes 6/19 in a car accident in Saegertown today and a woman was charged with careless driving. Tiffany Price, 30, was reportedly driving a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer north when she became distracted, drifted off the road and struck a utility pole south of Peters Road in Woodcock Township.

The truck rolled onto its roof and Price and three children in the car with her were taken to Meadville Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were reportedly not life threatening.

Under circumstances like this, some people assume that the injured children have no remedy available to them for their injuries because the at-fault driver was, presumably, a parent. However, the truth is that the careless driver’s insurance company is legally required to indemnify the driver from liability for harm. So, if the children were injured then they can recover from the insurance that is available to indemnify their parent for the careless driving that caused the Erie County car accident.
