October 22, 2010

October 22, 2010, ERIE, PA — A man will be charged in the Thursday morning crash that cut power to an eastside Erie neighborhood and forced the closing of a school for the day. John Wickham, 39, of Erie was driving his 1997 Chevrolet Blazer in the vicinity of Fairmount Parkway and McClelland Avenue shortly after midnight when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a utility pole and a tree.

The resulting power loss lasted until Thursday afternoon and forced the closing of Diehl Elementary School.

Police announced today that Mr. Wickham would be charged in the Erie car accident.
