According to the Times, Mr. Kirkland was driving a Toyota Camry east in the 4100 block of Buffalo Road when he crossed into oncoming traffic and into the path of Ms. Dornhoefer’s Subaru Outback.
The article does not say whether or not this is the same Erie car accident reported in yesterday’s paper and which we described in our blog yesterday but it seems likely that it is the same accident. In that story, it was reported that there was an Erie car accident in the same area at about the same time and that one of the people involved was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest.
We offer our condolences to Mr. Kirkland’s family. This grieving family will be in our thoughts. We are relieved that Ms. Dornhoefer will survive and hope that the Times report is correct that her injuries are only minor.
