April 11, 2012, ERIE, PA — A 10 year old girl was injured in an Erie pedestrian car accident at the intersection of East 13th Street and Ash Streets yesterday. According to early reports, the girl was running west through the intersection when she was hit by a car southbound on Ash.
The girl, whose identity has not been published, was conscious at the scene while being cared for by EmergyCare first responders. Her condition was not immediately known.
The accident happened near 2:40 p.m. and reports indicate traffic was heavy. Northbound traffic on Ash was stopped while southbound traffic was moving slowly, according to police.
As Erie car accident lawyers, we know that the details of an accident like this are critical and the evidence of those details is fleeting. While police conduct an investigation at the scene, it has been our experience that often there are witnesses and evidence that are not preserved unless an experienced Erie injury attorney conducts a prompt investigation.
Our thoughts are with the injured girl and her family as well as our hopes for a quick and complete recovery.
