About Craig Murphey

Craig has been a trial lawyer for over thirty years. For many years, he represented insurance carriers and their insureds in all types of lawsuits and claims, especially auto, truck, and motorcycle accidents involving serious injuries. Indeed, Craig’s work altered the landscape of Pennsylvania’s auto insurance laws, most notably in the area of uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage.

In 2017, Craig partnered with Eric Purchase and Tim George and has since represented the injured victims rather than the responsible parties. He is using his years of experience to help pursue justice and compensation for those injured by the carelessness of others, including victims of auto wrecks, truck accidents, motorcycle crashes, wrongful death, and medical malpractice

It’s because of this experience and successful representation of his clients that Craig’s good work has been continually recognized by his peers. He has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America every year since 2012. He has also been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer – an honor only awarded to the top 5% of all Pennsylvania attorneys –  every year since 2011. He was also honored by Best Lawyers as the 2017 Pittsburgh region “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury-Defense and received another “Lawyer of the Year” honor for Insurance Law in the Pittsburgh region for 2019.

Craig is the former President of both the Erie County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Defense Institute. He is currently a member of the Board of Governors for the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.

If you have been seriously hurt as a result of a car, truck, or motorcycle crash, medical malpractice or any other type of personal injury caused by the carelessness of another person or company,  Craig and his partners can help.

Mr. George and his entire office staff were very kind and helping me through my first ever experience with the law. He was able to get me exactly what he said he would in the outcome of my trial. The entire staff was very informative and kept me up to date on everything. Very pleased with my experience and would most definately recommend him to others.
