PFA Dismissed by Court

In December 2015, a young woman in Pennsylvania accused a man of forcible rape on separate occasions in her home. She then sought protection from the court in the form of a petition for sexual violence protection order. Her request for a temporary order was granted. However, the defendant denied the allegations and requested a final hearing.

PA criminal defense attorney Tim George represented the defendant at the final hearing on the request for the sexual violence protection order. After a lengthy cross-examination, during which the accuser was confronted with her memoir and other facts that established that the defendant had been wrongfully accused — such as a number of documents which established an alibi for the dates in question — the Court dismissed the sexual violence protection order. Thereafter, the detective investigating the rape allegations closed his file and the rape claim was dropped.
