Pennsylvania police still looking for driver who hit school bus

In a perfect world, motor vehicles accidents would not be the frustrating affairs that they are now. The driver who caused the crash would admit responsibility and willingly pay compensation to the occupants of the other vehicle if they suffered injuries.

Unfortunately for our readers, our world is not perfect and even at-fault drivers are reluctant to admit their guilt. Worse still, not everyone sticks around after causing a crash. Some people choose instead to flee the scene, making it a hit-and-run accident. While this becomes a problem for police who may need to press charges, it is most frustrating for accident victims, especially if the accident caused serious or fatal injuries. In many hit-and-run accidents, victims are unable to seek compensation from the person responsible for causing the collision.

Hopefully this won’t be the case for the families of the three children who were injured in a motor vehicle crash a short time ago in southwest Philadelphia. According to authorities, the driver responsible for the crash was driving at a high rate of speed when their vehicle slammed into a school bus carrying some children. Unfortunately, the driver fled the scene before their identity could be determined.

Although police are currently looking for the suspect, the parents of the children who were injured in the crash may need to prepare for the fact that the driver might not be found. While this might be a disconcerting thought, it’s important to remember that even if the driver is not found, a person may still receive compensation through their own insurance company. The hope for the family in this case is that they do not encounter any issues with receiving compensation. But above all else, the hope is that the driver is found and brought to justice for the victims’ sake.
