Pennsylvania Car Accident Lawyer: Hit-Run Outside Store

April 28, 2012, ERIE, PA -- A Summit Township hit-and-run auto accident has police looking for a light blue minivan last seen traveling north on Old Perry Highway.  The Pennsylvania car crash occurred outside the Route 97 Country Fair about 3:15 a.m. Friday when a man standing next to the minivan was struck when it suddenly reversed.

According to early reports, the injured man was talking to three men inside the minivan.  One of the men inside the minivan was described as wearing a gray Nike sweatshirt with black lettering while the other two were reportedly wearing hooded sweatshirts and baseball hats.

The injured man was taekn by ambulance to UPMC Hamot where he was listed in fair condition.  It was reported that he suffered significant injuries to his right leg.

People with information about the van or its occupants should call Pennsylvania State Police at 814-898-1641.

Hit/Runs Require Experienced Pennsylvania Car Accident Lawyers

A hit-and-run car crash requires special handling that is different from the routine Pennsylvania car accident.  Often, insurance policies require a timely notice to the involved insurance companies.  Other insurance coverage issues, including issues of permissive use and intentional act exclusions, are sometimes implicated.  Working through these complicated contractual issues is critical to obtaining a successful Pennsylvania injury settlement.
