Erie Accident Lawyers Post Winter Driving Law Update

December 8, 2010 -- Maybe it's not hard to believe. After all, Pennsylvania is a northeast state and our particular corner of Pennsylvania (which includes Erie County, Crawford County, Mercer County, Venango County, Warren County and Forest County) is covered in snow for about four months of every year. But Pennsylvania has laws that have particular application to winter driving and that impose hefty fines for failure to comply.

Regular readers of our blog know that we are Pennsylvania car accident lawyers who are committed to educating people about Pennsylvania's automobile law and so we've posted an article that offers more detail on Pennsylvania's winter driving laws in our library and you can find it HERE .

In a nutshell, though, here's what you need to know:

1. If it's snowing, put your headlights on (also, if it's getting dark, raining or if there are any other visibility issues).

2. If you have your windshield wipers on, you must have your headlights on.

3. You must clean the snow and ice off your car.

For even more information on Pennsylvania car safety tips, visit our car accident page or take advantage of our offer to give you a free book, "The Ultimate Guide to Car Accident Cases in Pennsylvania: A Roadmap to Justice."
