Erie Car Accident Lawyers : Bayfront Parkway DUI Accident Leads to ARD for Soldier

An accident on the Bayfront Parkway in Erie that caused serious injury to a local physician has led to an alternative disposition of criminal DUI charges against the solider who apparently caused the accident by driving while intoxicated and crossing the center line.

The Erie Times News reported today that Benjamin Moore was admitted to a program for non-violent first time offenders (ARD) that allows the accused to complete a probationary program without being convicted and also allows the record of the offense to be expunged.

Mr. Moore was reportedly westbound on the Bayfront Parkway when he crossed the center line and collided with a car driven by Dr. Robert However. Both drivers were injured in the accident. Dr. However spent more than two weeks in the hospital as a result of his injuries.

Indications are that Dr. However did not oppose Mr. Moore's entry into the ARD program.

Dr. However has hired an experienced Erie injury lawyer who has filed a civil lawsuit on his behalf to recover compensation for the injuries he suffered in the Erie car accident.
