August 30, 2010 - This case was unusual in the sense that it involved a rear end motorcycle accident that led to injuries for which conservative/chiropractic care was sufficient. We are, unfortunately, too accustomed to seeing much worse injuries in such accidents.
In this case, our client was astride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and stopped waiting for a light to change when he was rear ended by an inattentive motorist. He was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered road rash to his left shin as well as injuries to his neck and back that required extensive physical therapy and chiropractic care.
The case was happily one that didn't present with permanent life altering injuries and, after a thorough work up and several rounds of negotiations, we were able to obtain the policy limits from the insurance for the at-fault driver as well as an additional payment from our client's underinsured motorist carrier.
